This collection explores what is at the intersection of life and death, when the energetic self sheds its physical contours and becomes something less tangible and more expansive. The work suggests that the self does not disappear, but joins a wider collective of life or energy, something that is both larger and more interconnected. A common theme throughout the collection is the presence of silhouettes, which are depicted in soft, loosely defined borders, as if they are dissolving, merging, or slipping from one state into another. Across the canvases, bursts of bold saturated colour, often reminiscent of foliage and blooms, collect around the figures. These evoke thoughts of what lives on when the physical self recedes, such as consciousness, energy, and connection. It is not a depiction of an ending, but of a quiet expansion into something vast and unknowable.
